AC Milan captain Davide Calabria is likely to leave the club next year to join Como.
Italian outlet Sportitalia reports that Calabria future is in question, with his current contract expiring at the end of the season, while there has been no progress on a new deal from the club.
Newly-promoted Como remain interested in Calabria and would be a suitable option if the 28-year-old wants to continue playing in the Lombardy region.
This season, Calabria, who rose through the Milan youth ranks, has lost his place to Emerson Royal, making just nine appearances in all competitions.
Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains that Como have made an approach to ask Calabria if he wants his next destination to be still within the Lombardy region.
This could be in January for a minimal fee, or at the end of the season as a free agent.
The right-back just turned 28 earlier this month and spent his whole career at Milan, coming through the youth academy to ascend to the role of captain.
However, he lost his place in the first team and has only nine appearances this season between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia.
It is possible that Milan could release Calabria in January for a fee, or part ways at the end of the season when his contract expires.
In addition to Como, Italian giants ยูฟ่าเบท Galatasaray also want him to join their team.
